Veteran’s Benefits

Older Vet saluting

Aging veterans and their families have a special place in our heart. They and their families sacrificed so much so we can have the freedoms we enjoy today. We strive to make sure they get the benefits to which they are entitled.

The Veteran’s Administration has a special program for our veteran that many of them are not aware they may qualify for or with very little work, could qualify for benefits.

What are the requirements?

The requirements are pretty straight forward:

1) You must be a veteran that served active duty at least one day during a time of war

2) You must be over the age of 65 or now have a disability that requires you to need assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

3) You must have been discharge other than dishonorably

4) You must now meet certain financial guidelines for assets and income.

Have you been told that you don’t qualify due to income or assets?

Please give us a call and let us know what you told them and what the VA said.  Many times, the VA doesn’t ask the right questions or they don’t ask enough questions in order to know the full picture.  Todd Whatley is a VA Accredited Attorney and can help you know if you really are qualified right now or not.  If not, in most situations there are very simple things you can do to get qualified with legal documents, hiring a caregiver, purchasing a financial product or moving somewhere you thought you couldn’t afford but with the VA benefit you can afford and possibly even make money by doing so!  Please give us a call if you are a Veteran that served during a time of war.  We can do crisis planning (needing care now) or pre-planning to help you save even more.
